Welcome to the Madison Charter Township Fire Department!

The mission of the Charter Township of Madison Fire Department is to promote the welfare of the community and its citizens by providing the highest level of Fire & Life Safety Services to our community. We strive to accomplish this by:

The Charter Township of Madison Fire Department maintains a staff of 9 full-time and 25 paid on call firefighters.  The department averages 2,500 calls for service per year.

  • Open Burning Rules
  • Effective 10/16/2012 Public Act 102 of 2012 signed into law 04/19/12, prohibits the open burning of several household trash items that pose a danger to human health & the environment. Prohibit the open burning of household trash that contain: plastic, rubber, foam, chemically treated wood, textiles, electronics, chemicals or hazardous material.
